James H Bregenser

James is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his B.A. in History, with minors in Public History and Theology, from Saint Vincent College in 2018.  He says coming from a small private college in western Pennsylvania to a much larger university in North Carolina has been a great experience.

During the summer of 2019 James interned with the North Carolina Historical Preservation Office to research specific buildings' architectural history and also worked with Dr. Kristen Baldwin Deathridge to complete a National Register Nomination for the National Register of Historical Places. He greatly enjoyed a class project that involved writing a Historic Furnishings Report for the local 1888 Museum.  His historical interests include architectural history and 19th and  20th century European history.

James is also invloved on campus with the Graduate Student Government Association. Representing the Graduate History Student Association as their senator.
