Christopher McCloud

Christopher Ryan McCloud grew up in the small mountain town of Floyd, Virginia, and is a graduate of the history program at Radford University. In addition to his work towards an M.A. in Public History, he is also in the Appalachian Studies M.A. program with a concentration in Sustainability.

 He currently works as assistant editor for the Appalachian Journal and is an associate editor for the Appalachian literary journal Floyd County Moonshine.  For internships, he has worked in the Appalachian State Special Collections at Belk Library and developed an education curriculum for an outdoor classroom project in Wilkes County, N.C. His primary interests and current research projects include Appalachian History, Environmental History, Sustainable Practices in the Craft Brewing Industry, and Representations of the Appalachian Region in Video Games.
