Patrick Kellam received both his B.A. and M.A. in History from Appalachian State University. He is a third year Ph.D. student in American history at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His research interests include American political history, American political culture, and Southern history, particularly the roles of race, gender, and class in the region’s culture and politics. His dissertation will analyze the continuities and evolutions of North Carolina political culture between 1920 and 1950. He and his wife, Amelia, live in Boone with their two four-legged fur children.
