Favorite thing about your experience in our MA program
The mentorship. Appalachian State’s professors truly invest in the success of their students. The constant availability and the willingness of professors to take students to professional conferences helped me develop as a young historian and presented me with great opportunities as I continue my career.
Advice for future students
Your professors are there to help, so seek their advice. Graduate school is challenging, but don’t shy away from it. Challenge yourself, venture outside your comfort zone, and always look for opportunities to sharpen your skills as a historian. You won’t regret it.
