2. edTPA Templates (Unit Map and Lesson Plans) for unit and lessons for edTPA week in EDU 4900 >> to submit to Pearson
edTPA Template | ALL History/Social Studies Education student teachers must use our edTPA template. |
| Unit Map & up to Five (5) ONE-DAY Lesson Plans (plus Cover Sheets) / Google Doc Version | For edTPA, you must address the purpose and rationale in a separate commentary. All submissions must meet the range of 3-5 lessons. If you don't need 5 lessons, delete 1-2 blank lesson plans and cover sheets |
| Unit Map & up to Five (5) TWO-DAY Lesson Plans (plus Cover Sheets)/ Google Doc Version | If you have a mix of one- and two-day lesson plans, simply delete the "Day 2" section as needed in this version |
- Unlike the normal student teaching version, which runs horizontally, this edTPA version runs vertically. All edTPA requirements are addressed in this version.
- Your edTPA submission cannot exceed 20 pages total. Aim for 2-3 pages per ASU History Dept. Lesson Plan + one-page RCOE Lesson Plan overview. That's a total of 3-4 pages per lesson.
- You cannot exceed 4 pages per lesson (RCOE lesson overview + History Dept. lesson plan).
- We recommend keeping the Unit Map at the end for edTPA readers; however, cut it out if you design 5 lesson plans and reach 19-20 pages.
